Holly & Kent are high school sweethearts. They dated for many years and waited until they graduated from college before making plans to get married. Their friendship and dating relationship led them through many fun adventures and travels. Kent proposed to Holly on a vacation they took together and despite their many years together, Kent was able to still surprise her with his proposal of marriage.
We photographed their engagement portraits in the december before their wedding as part of Holly vision of a winter wonderful wedding celebration theme. We photographed their portraits in downtown Fort Worth and at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens.
For her bridal portraits, we chose to photograph them at the Fort Worth Club for its’ elegant decor and beautiful architecture. Holly’s wedding dress and style were truly elegant and timeless.
Holly & Kent’s wedding ceremony was at University Christian Church on the TCU campus, followed by their winter wonderful wedding reception at the Fort Worth Club in downtown Fort Worth. Holly even chose to get ready with her bridesmaids at Kent’s home, which she considered her second home. With a winter wedding and an early sunset, the couple chose to do a First Look before their bridal party. Their friends cheered as Holly walked through the church doors toward her groom. We photographed their portraits on the church grounds. After the ceremony, their guests left to carolers singing Christmas songs outside the church. Once their guests exited the elevator to enter the wedding reception, they were greeted by a winter wonderland scene with fake snow, Christmas trees and animatronic carolers.
They provided their guest with amazing entertainment! Studio 54 played great dance music; PicFlips and Curly’s Custard were set up in another room and there were so many wonderful rooms to sit and visit with friends. The night could have gone on and on with all of the entertainment and fun people. Holly & Kent planned their reception exit with friends ringing jingle bells as they ran to their horse drawn carriage ride through downtown Fort Worth.
