Victoria & John were married on January 5 at a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Rock Creek Ranch Event Center in McKinney. The open spaces and scenery were the perfect backdrop for their outdoor wedding ceremony and rustic glam wedding reception. It was a joy to be a part of documenting their wedding day and there were so many standout moments for me as I photographed the events and special people of their celebration.
1) I LOVED Victoria’s halter-lace wedding dress. In all honesty, her wedding dress is the one I have dreamed of since my wedding day. She was stunning — so stunning that John’s jaw hit the ground (which you’ll see below). 2) I laughed and cried at their first look. I’m glad they took my advice to do the first look with their ceremony taking place at sunset — It was a beautiful moment and time for them and we were able to take so many bride and groom portraits. Their First Look was everything I think it should be for couples: a time to rejoice together, to admire one another and a time to pray together in thanksgiving for each other and their wedding day. 3) Their DJ played the perfect music mix before the ceremony to really set the tone for the day – it was beautiful and chill music. 4) The ceremony was beautiful but really the joy was in watching them look at each other and to really see Victoria beaming! 5) John couldn’t even wait for the minister to pronounce them as husband and wife and midway through the minister closing the service, John just grabbed his bride and kissed her! It was fabulous! 5) I loved that Victoria & her mom did a mother/daughter dance – it was a really sweet moment. 6) Victoria & John were just crazy-fun on the dance floor. They stayed out there all night two-stepping, shuffling, and just shakin’ it on the dance floor with their friends all night long.
It’s just that throughout their wedding celebration I have not seen two people so excited to be married! I think you’ll see that on their faces throughout all of the images below (click here to view their wedding album to see even more of their story or their online gallery for all of the images.). Enough talking – enjoy!
