Amidst the unpredictability of 2020, Katie & Jordan decided to just go for it and move forward with their marriage with an intimate backyard wedding for them & their families. I admire their love, their joy, their decision to roll with what life is offering right now: and that’s the chance to be together and to make the best of it all!
Their wedding day was full of all the meaningful moments, a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, their family (which included parents, grandmothers, siblings, one aunt, and three dogs), some sweet details and a lovely dinner. Having been there for Jordan’s sisters’ wedding, it was a joy to be invited to witness his marriage to Katie, to see his family again & to be the one to document the merging of these families in marriage. I adored everything about this day & hope to photograph many more intimate backyard weddings in San Diego & Dallas. I love the intentionality of choosing to marry the one you love despite all of the obstacles & for keeping the dream of love at the center of it all. Here are some of my favorite wedding day moments & portraits that captured their meaningful, intimate wedding.
