This is a very special post. I had the pleasure of photographing the day Bryan proposed to Audra. We met a week before to plot the details. Bryan scoped out the Arboretum beforehand and we detailed the possible locations and talked about rain-day plans. Typically the Dallas Arboretum is packed with photographers and families on Saturdays, so we figured that I would blend right in. We pulled into the parking lot at the same time, so I lagged behind a bit — photographing flowers and things like that. Once it was getting close to proposal time, I made my way to the designated spot. We chose an area far away from people, hoping that by choosing that location, the moment would still be pretty private for Bryan and Audra. And from behind a tree, I watched with excitement as Bryan knelt down to ask for her hand in marriage. It was a beautiful moment! I told Bryan not to rush the moment, and it was great because they were able to enjoy it and able to enjoy each other. Moments later, I came out from behind the tree and Audra could hardly believe Bryan’s great plan to photograph the moment for her. While she was still on a super-giddy-high, we photographed some portraits for them. It was a great day!
