Meet Melissa and Brandon. They’re having a fabulous, intimate wedding in May. One of Melissa’s top priorities for her wedding was having awesome photos, so I was totally excited when she chose me as her wedding and engagement photographer. They’re a super-cute couple, who are just so comfortable around each other. Melissa was also an awesome model — she hit so many different poses during session, so they have tons of variety in their portraits. So enjoy the photos!
We started at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano. It’s been a favorite location option for a lot of my clients.
Melissa’s friend Arica joined us on the shoot. She’d be snapping photos with her cell phone every one and while and she was totally cracking me up. She was just chilling on the rock eating fritos. So much fun! BTW, Arica did Melissa’s hair with each wardrobe/location change. It’s great to have talented friends like that!
I’m totally torn between the next two as to which is my favorite from the day. They’re so similar and I love them both!
Next we went to downtown Prosper. And it was a perfect day for a session because the streets were nearly empty and so we had a lot of freedom to shoot on the streets. The next 3 are part of my favorite series from the session — I just love their interaction. I LOVE Melissa’s dress! And it’s totally what inspired the vintage effects on the photos below.

For their last location, we went a couple miles up the road to Celina. My parents live out there and that’s how I found this wonderful photography location. It’s the cutest town with incredible backdrops for photos. But since the sun was setting, we only had time for a couple of frames.
