Elyse and Matt were married June 27 at the First United Methodist Church in Richardson. They had a wonderful afternoon wedding, which as a photographer, I totally love. There’s always so much more time for photos and we were able to go after their exit for more time for couple portraits. I totally loved this couple (and both of their parents were amazingly awesome)! I’m just so excited for them and the great life they’ll get to share together serving others. Matt is working on his Masters at seminary and eventually wants to work in somewhere in Africa building wells and helping the people there with his engineering skills he learned in his undergrad and I love that Elyse just has the heart to serve the people and to love and support Matt in everything he’s going to do. Now onto the wedding that celebrated the great love of these two wonderful people. 🙂
The first photos are just some of the details. The flowers were AMAZING. Now for the “getting ready” photos. Boys have way too much time on their hands before a wedding… but I couldn’t resist encouraging some fun… I mean they were getting ready in the choir robe room…This is the expression Elyse’s Dad had once he saw her in her wedding dress. So precious!
Elyse and Matt opted for to do a First Sight (meaning they saw each other before the wedding. It was wonderful because they were able to spend some quite moments alone before all of the excitement of the wedding day. Matt wanted to watch Elyse walk down the aisle and I love these next photos from their first minutes together on their wedding day. So the First Sight allowed us to do all of the bridal party portraits before the wedding day. And while I totally love doing all of the photos outside, it was definitely 103 degrees and Elyse and her girls wanted to stay cool. This is known as “The Matt Face.” So funny! The ceremony begins and I love Elyse’s excitement to get down the aisle to be with Matt. More fabulous photos of the reception and their couple portraits to come tomorrow for Part 2. 🙂
