Welcome to Part 2 of Louise and Michael’s Wedding at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Downtown Dallas. Louise and Michael chose to see each other before the ceremony so we were able to do all of the couple portraits, and bridal party and family portraits. So after the ceremony, Louise was able to go change into her traditional dress during the cocktail time and then come join the reception.
Their reception was short, simple and beautiful—a wedding ceremony is just so wonderful to me because it’s marking a spot in time that you are declaring to others that you are choosing to love and commit yourself to your spouse in front of God and your closest friends and family. So no matter how short it is it, the concept is the same and that’s just beautiful to me.
They planned to have their wedding ceremony in the courtyard of the Rosewood Crescent, but because of the rain they had to move it into the Garden Room. It was a beautiful room for their ceremony and I loved the light.
So sweet when dad gives his daughter in marriage.
These were the handmade wedding favors. They are handmade parsimmon fruits that are a sign of joy and good fortune. They decorated the buffet with these sweet paper cranes.
The bridesmaids welcomed the couple back from couple portraits in Louise’s new traditional dress. They had an amazing cake! It was champagne flavored and fabulous. For the first part of the reception they had the Chinese Tea Ceremony. It was my first time to witness a Chinese Tea ceremony, but it was a beautiful thing to see the families coming together and for Michael and Louise to show their parents respect.
During the reception Michael and Louise and their parents went around the room and greeted their guests and offered a toast to their guests.
They also thank their guests as they leave the reception and offer them another treat. It was like a receiving line. But it was just so fun to see them interact with all of their friends and family. It was a really fun wedding and reception! Thanks so much for choosing me to photograph these special moments for you guys. It was my pleasure to be a part of your wedding day!
