Get your scroll button ready. You’ll need it for this incredible wedding. Claire & Jeremy were married at St. Michael’s & All Angels Episcopal Church in Highland Park followed by a wedding reception at the Nasher Sculpture Garden. There are so many reasons why this was a dream wedding to shoot, but honestly at the heart of it was a sweet couple who’s love and affection for one another is what made this wedding so special for me. Jeremy is Kaitlin’s brother. We met last year at Kaitlin & Sam’s wedding at the Sanford House. One of my favorite images last year was one that I took of Kaitlin & Jeremy hugging in celebration of her marriage to Sam immediately after the ceremony. I love this family. During Kaitlin’s wedding, she pulled me aside and said that Jeremy would be proposing soon to his girlfriend Claire and that she hoped I would get to be their photographer too. Once they were engaged and started planning their wedding, I was overjoyed that Claire contacted me about photographing their wedding day too. I was able to introduce Claire & Jeremy to Meredith Commender of Significant Events of Texas and she was chosen to coordinate and design their wedding day. Though we’ve only spent a couple of days together here and there and exchanged a million e-mails, I feel so close to Jeremy & Claire and I’ve been looking forward to their wedding day for so long. They are just so smitten and I appreciate Jeremy and the way he looks after and cares for Claire. It’s a beautiful relationship and a heartfelt one to photograph. The wedding day was pretty easy-going—when I arrived at Claire’s house, she was so ready to get her wedding dress on. It was adorable! Claire & Jeremy decided that they wanted to do their first look at Lakeside Park in Highland Park and when Claire came walking up the steps to the bridge, Jeremy just held his arms wide open for her. Even though they’d seen each other at the rehearsal the night before the Jeremy told Claire how much he missed her. It’s these sentiments between these two that makes my heart so full and happy. I’ll let the rest of the photos tell the story, but I just wanted to give you a little bit of the background about why I loved this wedding celebration so much.
