I just returned from another trip that stirred my heart for beautiful things and people in the world. God has blessed me greatly with the opportunity to see so many of the beautiful places He created in this world and I receive great joy when I get to photograph them, soak them in and experience these places with friends and family. I’m pretty sure I cried nearly every day with tears of joy and just an overall feeling of being overwhelmed with great beauty. The primary purpose of my trip was to photograph the destination wedding of Chase & Tarsis in Florence (which will be on the blog later this week – it was a stellar experience!). It was an added bonus that my two best friends were able to join me to travel around Italy after the wedding. Luckily, one of my friends is an insanely talented photographer and so we enjoyed stopping here and there for great shots. I enjoyed seeing how his brain was sparked with creativity on the trip and learning from him as we shot. I have been so blessed, encouraged, uplifted and loved by my dear friends and it was an added joy to share in this experience with them. After Florence, we traveled through Tuscany to Sienna, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa, Rapallo, Portofino, & Milan and stayed at amazing AirB&B locations and just soaked in the beauty and life of this beautiful country. I actually didn’t take my camera with me every day – sometimes it’s nice to be free and to enjoy a place, but these are the places I did photograph and I have so many favorites (surprise – surprise – haha). But I hope you see beauty and feel something when you see these places. Many of these moments captivated me, stirred my heart with love and peace, or made me just feel overwhelmed by the grandeur. “Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.” ―Edgar Allan Poe
