It’s an understood thing, that if you travel to Africa, you have to go on Safari. In between our visits to villages in Tanzania, we spent a 24 hour stint at Mikumi National Park and it was beautiful. Zebras, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, impalas and lions all live there. The coolest thing was seeing more than 40 giraffes together and more than 70 elephants traveling together across the countryside. The first day we didn’t see any lions, but at night we could hear them roaring the darkness, so we knew they were close. So we set off early in the morning to see if we could spot them and we did! We loved our accommodations at the Mikumi Wildlife Camp: they had an amazing terrace overlooking the park, a wonderful staff and we loved our rooms. With my mere 200mm lens, this is these are the best safari photos I could capture. I hope you enjoy them.
