Before starting back to weddings for the 2017 season, I had an adventure to travel the North of France. I enjoyed my creative and restful sabbatical. I love driving through the countryside and casting my eyes upon the beautiful natural places God has created. It is one of my favorite things to experience in this life. I hope I am never desensitized to these moments and these kinds of places. I hope I can always be in awe… that I can always take a deep breath and soak in the moment of a new vantage point… that my mind will create a unique wrinkle to store the colors, smells and feeling of the places my feet meet come into contact with the earth. I love the days and years after a travel experience when I can close my eyes and think back to a place and have the feeling of the moment return to me. In this way, travel is something I can savor and a way I can find joy and pleasure in this life.
You can view some of my past travel adventures here.
So here is an eclectic summary of my travel through photographs. The images don’t have a consistent theme, coloring or look because every day was so different and every location was so different. I try to represent places in the way they actually look instead of making each place fit my editing style. I hope you’ll stop and experience each image as a stand-alone experience for your senses, just as I did when I took the image. Cheers!
