In many ways, Instagram as changed the way I travel because now I am exposed to so many more beautiful places in the world. Milos, Greece is one place I couldn’t wait to see for myself after seeing a single image of the Kleftiko Caves. We took the SeaJets fast ferry from Santorini to Milos, which took about two hours. We didn’t have the fortune of a sunny day for sailing, but the experience was still one that I will treasure! There are so many different boat tours of Milos and are the best way to experience the island because so many beaches are inaccessible by land transportation. We chose to go with Excellent Yachting after some of the other boats were canceling their sailing tours due to the winds and incoming rain. We had one full day to experience the island and were so happy with our experience with our two captains. They prepared a wonderful experience full of interesting history, snorkeling, a wonderful meal and all the wine we could sip. The port of Adamas is a unique, port city lined with perfect patios and a bay view full of sailboats, fishing boats, and yachts. We enjoyed our few meals in town and the amazing coffee at The Egoist, where we had our star-sighting of Emma Thompson! haha. I loved Milos and would have loved to spend more days exploring the caldera of Milos and the 58 square miles of land. Milos is a geological treasure! Just scroll to see the wide variety of unique land that creates this stunning Greek Isle.
