What a crazy-crew! The Watson family came to San Diego for an extended family vacation, gathering the grandparents from Canada & children and grandchildren from Texas, Oklahoma & California. I was so excited to have some fun seeing how this beautiful family has grown. I went to college with the eldest son and his wife was one of my roommates at school. I also photographed the middle son’s wedding – it was my second wedding I ever photographed. So I’ve had some fun history with this family and these couples in front of the camera. They were staying up in Oceanside but came down to Windansea Beach in La Jolla for the portrait session. I love the rocky formations throughout Windansea that give the beach photos a little more texture and depth. Wrangling 9 grandchildren was a crazy-fun task and I’m so happy I got to capture the personalities of each of these kids as well as a few sweet portraits of the parents.
